As an independent practice we’re dedicated to providing the highest standards of eye care, and we’ve invested in sate-of-the art technology to ensure we can meet your every need.
You’ll feel comfortable, at ease and able to discuss all aspects of your ocular health and visual needs in confidence. And you’ll always be properly informed about any procedures or issues that may come up during your visit.
We use a range of diagnostic techniques and equipment to build up an accurate picture of the health of your eyes and detect any common eye conditions.
Your vision and eye coordination will be checked, and we’ll also look for any signs of health problems.
A personalised, digital record of your examination helps us develop a historical reference, which we consult at subsequent appointments. This enables us to detect any problems quickly, so, if necessary, you get the appropriate treatment as soon as possible.
At the end of your examination there’s an opportunity to discuss both the health of your eyes, the most appropriate type of correction for your visual needs and the best type of glasses or contact lenses for your needs and your budget.
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
Kathryn Anthony was the first independent optician in Bath to invest in OCT, an innovative imaging technology that allows optometrists to diagnose conditions that affect the retina and optic nerve, such as Age-related Macular Degeneration. Our team is fully trained in the safe, effective use of this technology.
OCT is a risk-free, non-invasive procedure, which uses laser technology to detect eye conditions much more accurately and quickly than conventional methods. If you’d like to find out more, we’re happy to discuss this with you in person.
